Fast-Casual Favorite Grows Its Footprint

Blaze Pizza, a leading name in the fast-casual dining sector known for its customizable, artisanal pizzas, has announced a major expansion plan. The beloved pizza chain is set to open 25 new restaurants across Southern California, marking a significant growth spurt for the brand in 2024.

New Partnership Sparks Expansion

The expansion comes through a new agreement with SoCal Blazers, Inc., a group led by seasoned Blaze franchisee Reza Medali alongside Mehdi Khosh and Ryan Kosh. Medali, who already operates 21 Blaze locations, expressed excitement about bringing more of Blaze's unique dining experience to the region. The new locations will spread across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, and San Diego counties, with four openings planned for 2025.

A Decade of Delicious Growth

Since its inception in Pasadena, California, in 2011, Blaze Pizza has rapidly grown to over 300 restaurants spanning 38 states and three countries. The chain has made a name for itself with its build-your-own pizza concept, allowing customers to choose from over 45 fresh toppings. Beyond pizza, Blaze also offers salads, cheesy breads, meatballs, and desserts, including a popular s'mores pie and cinnamon bread.

Menu Innovation Continues

Earlier this year, Blaze Pizza announced its most significant menu revamp since the brand's launch. The overhaul introduced a new selection of chef-inspired pizzas, replacing its 12-year-old signature pizza menu. This move highlights Blaze's commitment to innovation and its dedication to providing customers with bold flavors and high-quality ingredients.

Blaze Pizza Not Alone in Expansion Efforts

Blaze Pizza's expansion news follows closely on the heels of another development announcement involving a five-unit deal with Red Phoenix Group, LLC, targeting Ventura, Santa Barbara, and the Upper San Fernando Valley. However, Blaze isn't the only pizza chain on the move. Slice House by Tony Gemignani is also making waves in the industry, with 150 restaurants in development across several states, including Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Idaho, and Tennessee.

As Blaze Pizza continues to expand its presence and menu offerings, pizza lovers in Southern California and beyond have much to look forward to. The chain's commitment to quality, innovation, and a supportive franchisee network sets the stage for a successful expansion and a delicious future.
