The Buzz Around Hailey Bieber's Nails

Social media is buzzing with excitement over Hailey Bieber's latest nail trend, the "pink jelly glaze" manicure. Crafted by the renowned celebrity manicurist Zola Ganzorigt, this manicure has quickly become a favorite of mine. Typically, I opt for neutral shades to minimize the appearance of grow-out between my monthly nail appointments. Yet, the allure of Bieber's pink chrome and jelly nails combination was too tempting to resist.

A Unique Shade for a Special Campaign

Zola Ganzorigt, the genius behind the manicure, designed it specifically for Rhode's new campaign, aiming to match the nail color with their new lip treatment, Ribbon. The shade, a delightful mix of jelly pink and pink chrome, maintains a sheer appearance. Despite my use of builder gel, Ganzorigt assured me that replicating the look wouldn't be an issue, promising the same steps as a regular gel manicure would apply.

Any Shape, Any Length: A Versatile Choice

Considering a change in nail length, I was reassured by Ganzorigt that the pink jelly glaze would complement any nail shape and length due to its essentially neutral color. This versatility made the decision to try the trend even easier.

Recreating the Look at OPI

Fortunate enough to book an appointment at the OPI offices in Calabasas, California, I met with manicurist Galdina Jimenez to bring Bieber's look to life. After prepping my nails and applying two layers of clear builder gel, we faced the challenge of replicating the discontinued shade "Hotter Than You." However, with the array of OPI colors at our disposal, we crafted a perfect match using Hello Kitty x OPI's "Follow Your Heart" mixed with OPI Intelli-gel Clear Gel and a hint of OPI Funny Bunny Gel for that special jelly pink hue.

The Final Look: Sheer Perfection

After applying two coats of our custom-mixed shade and a touch of OPI Chrome Powder in "Tin Man Can," my nails achieved the desired sheer and shiny finish under a thin layer of chrome. This pink jelly glaze manicure is a look I plan to repeat, proving that sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone pays off in style.
