Summary of Article

Revamping Ready-to-Eat Options

Kroger, the popular supermarket chain, is making changes to its deli and bakery items to improve their quality. The upgrades include Home Chef-branded fried chicken products and a new baguette.

Improving Flavor and Freshness

Kroger's Home Chef Fried Chicken now features a double breading and hand-dipped process with 18 different spices. The packaging has also been redesigned to keep the chicken crispy for longer. In the bakery department, Kroger has introduced a new real buttercream for its Private Selection Signature Buttercream Cakes. The Private Selection Cinnamon Rolls now have real butter and come with vanilla or cream cheese icing. The Private Selection Cinnamon Crumb Cake has new layers of cinnamon streusel, and the Fresh Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies are available in packs of 12 or 30-count party packs.

New and Improved French Baguette

Kroger's new Private Selection French Baguette is baked fresh in-store daily and is made with all-natural artisan bread without any preservatives or chemicals. It is priced at $1.49 per loaf.

Coming Soon: Flakier Croissants

Kroger will also be updating its Private Selection Croissants, adding more flaky layers to the freshly baked all-butter pastries.

These changes are part of Kroger's commitment to constantly improving its deli and bakery offerings to provide customers with the best possible products.
